The Gyronimo Performance Pad for Cessna 172R is a comprehensive digital tool designed to facilitate precise performance and weight and balance calculations for the aircraft. Compatible with iPad 2 or newer, including iPad Mini Retina, it offers users the ability to derive key data directly from the Pilot's Operating Handbook (POH).

The application enables quick computation and interpolation of performance parameters by inputting actual aircraft data, significantly reducing planning time. Results are updated in real-time and displayed in high-resolution graphics optimized for the iPad 2/3 and Mini models, supporting detailed analysis and visualization.

Adjustments to critical values can be made seamlessly via intuitive sliders, allowing users to explore various scenarios through rapid “what if” Analysis. This feature facilitates finding optimal cruise altitudes, takeoff ground roll distances, landing length, climb performance, and stall speeds efficiently.

The Performance Pad for C172R is organized into seven primary sections:

• Mass & Balance Page: Calculates Center of Gravity (CG), Moments, Takeoff and Zero Fuel Masses, as well as Percent MAC. User-friendly sliders streamline the input of personnel and baggage weights. Multiple graphical displays—Moment Envelope, CG Envelope, and Aircraft Axis—assist in verifying weight limits. An optional load manifest can be emailed for record-keeping or proof of correct loading.
• Takeoff Page: Utilizes actual POH data to estimate Ground Roll and Landing Distance considering variables such as aircraft mass, pressure altitude, density altitude, outside air temperature (OAT), runway conditions and slope, and wind parameters. The integrated Wind Components tool allows for quick headwind or tailwind assessment by rotating a dial to set wind direction and speed automatically transferring results to performance calculations.
• Climb Page: Computes time, fuel consumption, and distance for climb segments based on differences between departure elevation and desired flight level. Inputs include altitude, temperature, wind components, with outputs including rate of climb and climb speed for thorough flight planning.
• Cruise Page: Based on POH data, determines optimal cruise altitude considering trip distance, flight level, engine RPM, temperature, wind, and pressure settings. Calculates Break Horse Power (% BHP), fuel flow rates, and true airspeed. Graphical displays illustrate maximum range and reserve-capable ranges. Fuel management features allow entry of reserve times for contingency planning and display graphical fuel usage efficiency metrics in miles per gallon or liters per 100 kilometers.
• Landing Page: Estimates landing ground roll and distance taking into account wind conditions, elevation, barometric settings, with the Wind Components tool available for swift assessing of wind influence on landing performance.
• Stall Speed Page: Calculates stall speeds at various bank angles and flap settings, providing results in KIAS and KCAS derived directly from POH data.
• Setup: Supports saving up to five aircraft configurations or scenarios. Allows exporting a comprehensive Mass & Balance summary via email. Provides access to tutorials and instructional videos through the developer’s video channel.
